Clifford Chance has entered into an association with Indonesian firm, Linda Widyati & Partners (LWP), aimed at allowing the two firms to provide clients with integrated advice on Indonesian and international law.
LWP a boutique law firm, was established by Linda Widyati and Dezi Kirana. Clifford Chance's head of M&A in Amsterdam, Jeroen Koster, recently relocated to Asia, and will lead the association on the Clifford Chance side. The associated firms will continue to focus on corporate/M&A, banking and finance and capital markets.
“Indonesia is a strong and vibrant economy and represents an important jurisdiction for many of our clients, including in sectors such as energy and resources, financial institutions, insurance, consumer goods and retail, and telecoms,” said Peter Charlton, Clifford Chance's Managing Partner for Asia Pacific, in a statement. “The establishment of this association signals our commitment to provide our clients with world-class legal advice to meet their evolving needs in this dynamic market.”
Earlier this month, Clifford Chance also announced the formal establishment of the first joint Saudi and international lawyer partnership in Saudi Arabia.
