CMS has entered into a formal law alliance (FLA) with Holborn Law, a Singapore boutique that had a non-exclusive association with Olswang, which merged with CMS Cameron McKenna and Nabarro in May.

The FLA will operate under the name CMS Holborn Asia and boost the firm’s local law capability in Singapore.

Holborn Law was founded by dispute resolution lawyer Lakshanthi Fernando, managing director of the firm, which also specialises in commercial, corporate and M&A transactions.

According to CMS, the FLA will help the firm build its Singapore legal expertise in key sectors including energy, financial services, life sciences, projects and infrastructure, real estate, as well as technology, media and telecoms (TMT).
