Chadbourne & Parke has re-hired Gary Feulner as a senior counsel in its Dubai office.  Feulner worked in the firm’s NY, Washington and UAE offices from 1984 to 1990, after which he left the firm to take up a position as general counsel of Dubai-based investment bank SHUAA Capital.

Besides his work at Chadbourne and SHUAA Capital, Feulner also served for six years on the board of directors of the American Business Council of Dubai as VP-Legal, and for four years as chairman of the Council's U.S. Public Affairs Committee.

Feulner’s expertise in the UAE ranges from private equity, mutual funds, public offerings and securities brokerage, as well as regulatory, banking, litigation, bankruptcy, employment and general corporate law.

Daniel Greenwald, head of the firm’s Dubai office and the man responsible for bringing Feulner to SHUAA, said he is “extremely happy" to welcome him back to the firm adding that "we will benefit from his broad general experience and insight into local and regional legal and regulatory issues, and from his in-house perspective. More specifically, he strengthens our capital markets and private equity experience in the region, as well as our overall corporate know-how."

Feulner’s appointment brings the total number of lawyers in the firm’s Dubai office to ten- of which four are partners.
