Eversheds has scored a coup with the appointment of Morrison Foerster partner and former technology, media & communications (TMT) head Nigel Stamp, who is set to drive forward Eversheds’ TMT group in Hong Kong.

Stamp will join the TMT group at Eversheds Hong Kong as a partner. In his new role, he will be tasked to identify further growth opportunities in the Asia Pacific region and continue the expansion of the firm’s TMT practice.

“Eversheds has a clear strategy for growth in Asia Pacific, which is aligned with my own ambitions to continue growing my practice, and the next few years look very promising for the group,” Stamp said. “I look forward to integrating with other practice areas, and around the firm internationally, to continue building the Eversheds TMT Group into the region’s leading TMT practice.”

Stamp has advised financial institutions, telecommunications companies and technology suppliers on all TMT matters. It recently advised Goldman Sachs on its data centre outsourcing projects across Asia. Some notable clients that Stamp advised at MoFo include Dell China, Standard Chartered, Novartis and NetEase.

Stamp has spent 16 years in Hong Kong and had previously spent time at Clifford Chance and Bird & Bird.ALB
