Big Four accounting firm EY has continued making inroads into the global legal industry after acquiring Thomson Reuters’ Pangea3 Legal Managed Services (LMS) business.
Pangea3, which specialises in outsourced legal work, has some 1,000 legal professionals in eight locations globally. It uses technology to automate routine tasks, leveraging legal, technical and business-process workers to provide low-cost services for clients.
“This new enhanced offering will make EY one of the leading professional services organisation for global legal advisory services and legal operations services, including legal function advisory, managed services and technology,” said Mark Weinberger, EY Global Chairman and CEO.
