The renowned ALB Korea Law Awards is returning for its seventh edition this year, to take place on Nov. 15 at Conrad Seoul. This annual event will continue to give recognition to the outstanding legal practitioners, top law firms and most important deals from within and around Korea.
This year, about 50 law firms and in-house teams have made submissions, with 16 new participants. In the nomination process, categories with the largest volume of submissions are Foreign Lawyer of the Year, Woman Lawyer of the Year, International Arbitration Law Firm of the Year and LAB Partners Award Korea In-House Team of the Year.
Law firms leading the nominations include Kim & Chang, Bae, Kim & Lee, Lee & Ko, Shin & Kim and Yulchon.Local law firms making their first appearance include Accelsior Partners, LAB Partners, RosettaLegal and Woo & Partners, while new joiners among overseas law firms include Allbright Law Offices, Beijing Cyan Law Firm and Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough.
On the in-house side, a strong mix of established and innovative teams are participating this year, such as Big Hit Entertainment, eBay Korea, Korea International, Ltd., KSOE, Netflix Korea and Samsung SDS.
Our panel of judges comprises more than 30 esteemed individuals from legal academia, in-house teams, law firms, legal associations and non-profit organisations in the region. The finalists with the highest score in each category will win the title, with the results being revealed on the night of the event.
