The renowned ALB Malaysia Law Awards is returning for its 7th edition this year, on August 14, with a brand-new format of celebration – virtual awards ceremony. The annual event will continue to give recognition to the outstanding legal practitioners and most significant deals from within and around Malaysia. 

This year, about 70 law firms and in-house teams have entered submissions, with 17 new participants. In the nomination process, categories with the largest volume of submissions go to Young Lawyer of the Year, Woman Lawyer of the Year, Construction and Real Estate Law Firm of the Year and Litigation Law Firm of the Year.

Law firms leading the nominations are Adnan Sundra & Low, Shearn Delamore & Co., Skrine, Wong & Partners and Zaid Ibrahim & Co, whilelocal law firms showing their first appearance include Haeme Lew, Ooi & Ooi, Richard Wee Chambers and Xian & Co.

On the in-house side, a strong mix of locally established and international corporates are participating this year, such as 3M Malaysia, China State Construction Engineering, Damansara Realty Berhad, Lazada Group, Maybank, Mercedes-Benz Malaysia, and first time joiners KLOOK, L'Oréal, Nestlé Malaysia and Petronas.

Our panel of judges comprises more than 25 esteemed individuals from legal academia, in-house teams, law firms and legal associations in the region. The finalists with the highest score in each category will win the titles, with the results being revealed on the day of the virtual awards ceremony.
