Gilbert + Tobin partner Moya Dodd has been co-opted onto the FIFA Executive Committee, soccer’s international governing body. Dodd polled 70 votes, second to Burundi’s Lydia Nsekera with 95 votes, in the election for a female member held last Friday at the FIFA Congress in Mauritius. As a result, she was co-opted for a one year term into one of two new positions created for females, making a total of three women on football’s governing body.

“It’s a privilege to join the FIFA Executive Committee as a co-opted member. Football is a great passion of mine and with greater female representation its future will be fairer and stronger,” Dodd said in a statement.
