HWL Ebsworth has today announced the recruitment of a building & construction and property team in the Sydney office. The team was previously at Herbert Geer.

Paul Deschamps and Alex Robinson have joined HWL as partners in the building & construction group and Andrew Buchanan has joined the firm as a partner in the property group. The three partners have been accompanied by a team of 14 as part of the move.

“We are delighted that Paul, Alex, Andrew and their team have accepted our invitation to join HWL Ebsworth,” said managing partner Juan Martinez.

HWL continues to be one of the market’s fastest growing firms. Last financial year it recorded 20 percent fee earner growth and 17 percent revenue growth. Herbert Geer lost five partners in FY2012, although it maintained a steady lawyer (non-partner) headcount and revenues. However, the slimmer overall fee earner base is likely to have an impact on FY2013 results.
