India’s HSA Advocates has merged its office in the eastern city of Kolkata with local firm Citadel Law Chambers. Citadel partner Ramya Hariharan will join has as a partner.

Hariharan has advised clients in India and abroad in mergers and acquisitions, projects, banking and finance and real estate. Prior to founding Citadel in 2015, she was a partner at Udwadia Udeshi & Argus Partners, and before that a principal associate at Amarchand Mangaldas.

HSA has also added litigation lawyer Pratik Ghose from PKA Advocates as an associate partner to its dispute resolution practice in Kolkata.

This is a period of expansion for HSA, which last month hired Atulya Sharma as a banking and finance partner in New Delhi from Apollo Tyres. In September, it hired five litigation lawyers in Mumbai from PKA Advocates, and in July, it hired corporate partner Bharat Sharma – also in Mumbai rom Naik Naik & Co.
