HWL Ebsworth has announced the appointment of senior Clayton Utz partner Richard Mereine as a partner. Mereine has practiced as a litigator for 37 years and has been a partner at Clayton Utz for 
22 years.

Prior to joining Clayton Utz he was a partner for 11 years  at a premier South African law firm. He has extensive experience, nationally and internationally, particularly in commercial, corporate and restrictive trade practices matters.

In addition, Mereine has acted for and advised clients who have been the subject of inquiries and charges by regulatory authorities including the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission and the Australian Securities and Investments Commission.
