International law firm Kennedys has seen its Singapore revenue jump 144 percent in the financial year 2015/16 to £7.8million ($10.3 million), up from £3.2 million ($4.2 million) a year previously.
The firm also reported a revenue increase of 33 percent in Hong Kong, with that office’s regulatory practice doing particularly well. Kennedys reported a global turnover of £138.8 million this year, a 7 per cent increase from last year.
The increase in Singapore revenue has been credited by the firm to its joint law venture local firm Legal Solutions, which was set up in March last year, as well as its aviation practice.
In September last year, Kennedys hired Ben Nicholson, DAC Beachcroft’s former Singapore office head, as a partner.
