South Korea’s largest firm Kim & Chang continued its dominant run at the ALB Korea Law Awards this year, winning 10 categories, including Deal Firm of the Year, Private Equity Law Firm of the Year, and the coveted Korea Law Firm of the Year.

Lee & Ko was also a big winner, taking home seven awards, including the Korea Intellectual Property Law Firm of the Year. Bae, Kim & Lee bagged half a dozen awards, including International Arbitration Law Firm of the Year, Overseas Practice Law Firm of the Year, as well as the Dealmaker of the Year, which went to Hee Gang Shin.

The rest of the South Korea’s Big Five also nabbed wins at this year’s event, which was , which was held on Nov. 13 at the Grand Hyatt Seoul. Yulchon won the Tax and Trusts Law Firm of the Year award, Shin & Kim took home the Labour and Employment Law Firm of the Year trophy, and Yoon & Yang was named as the Litigation Law Firm of the Year.

Meanwhile, Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton was named the International Law Firm of the Year for the second straight time. On the in-house side, Continental Korea won the Retail and Manufacturing In-House Team of the Year award and Hyundai Heavy Industries was hailed the Kim & Chang Award Korea In-House Team of the Year.

Among the individual categories, Heiri Lee of Kolon Industries was named In-House Lawyer of the Year, while Lee & Ko’s Jae Hoon Kim took home the Managing Partner of the Year, and the Woman Lawyer of the Year went to Jean Lee of Allen & Overy.
