K&L Gates has added Amy Sommers as a corporate partner in its Shanghai office. She joins K&L Gates from Squire Sanders.
 
A transactions lawyer, Sommers counseled on a broad range of business and commercial transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, commercial financings, real estate development, and other finance and investment projects. She also advises on government investigations, product distribution, and manufacturing and intellectual property licensing arrangements, as well as on compliance matters such as the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and anti-bribery compliance.
 
A resident of Shanghai since 2004, Sommers is a former leader of the American Bar Association’s China Committee.ALB
