Lend Lease has appointed former Valad Property Group general counsel and company secretary Kim Sides as the new general counsel in the project management and construction division. Sides replaces Rashda Rana, who left the position in order to return to The Bar and pursue her passion for international arbitration.
While general counsel at the Valad Property Group Sides oversaw the takeover of the listed Valad Property Group by Blackstone Real Estate Partners by way of a Part Three Scheme of Arrangement. Prior to Valad Property group she was general counsel at Laing O’Rourke Australia, part of the privately owned Laing O’Rourke Group. Sides began her legal career at Mallesons Stephen Jaques (now King & Wood Mallesons) including five years as a partner.
