Rajah & Tann Singapore has launched R&T Asia Resources, which aims to place lawyers within in-house legal teams on a temporary, contract basis.

The “flexible insourcing service” will compete in Asia with Australia’s AdventBalance, U.S.’s Axiom Law and, soon, Eversheds.

According to a release, R&T Asia Resources will provide experienced lawyers to companies who need in-house counsel on short-term contracts and project-specific work. It “will procure professionals with relevant legal qualifications and experience, including Rajah & Tann alumni, who can work during high demand periods or on projects where specialist skills are needed.”

R&T Asia Resources, led by designated partners of Rajah & Tann Singapore, “has a stringent selection process to ensure that the professionals on its panel are the right fit for clients. The professionals on the panel will also be able to access Rajah & Tann Asia’s training programmes and resources,” the firm said in a statement attributed to partner Ryan Loh.
