Rajah & Tann has announced a tie-up with Vietnamese law firm LCT Lawyers to create Rajah & Tann LCT Lawyers, a 25-lawyer firm that will have a presence in Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi and Da Nang.
The firm will be headed by Chau Huy Quang, an arbitrator at the Vietnam International Arbitration Centre, who is also experienced in construction infrastructure, commerce, foreign investment, intellectual property and shipping industries. The corporate, regulatory and M&A practices will be led by Vu Thi Que, and the banking and finance, projects and infrastructure practice will be led by partner Nguyen Dinh Nha.

We are delighted that they are now part of our network,” said Lee Eng Beng SC, Rajah & Tann’s managing partner, in a statement. “This tie-up will help Rajah & Tann keep pace with our clients’ regional ambitions. We want them to know that wherever they go in the region, we are in a good position to guide them through the legal challenges posed by cross-border transactions and operations.”
The Vietnam tie-up gives Rajah & Tann a footprint in its eighth ASEAN market. Last year, it commenced operations in Myanmar and Cambodia through Rajah & Tann NK Legal Myanmar and Rajah & Tann Sok & Heng Law Office respectively, and also signed strategic agreements with Assegaff Hamzah & Partners in Indonesia, and with Christopher & Lee Ong in Malaysia.
