RHTLaw Taylor Wessing is strengthening has hired Ow Kim Kit, formerly a deputy director with the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) as a partner in its corporate and capital markets practices.

Ow was a senior legal counsel at MAS between 2004 and 2007, during which she was involved in the development and drafting of Singapore’s banking laws and regulations. In 2013, she rejoined MAS as the leader a team at MAS responsible for the development of the wealth management, intermediaries and trust industry in Singapore.

Ow joins from the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), where she was managing director of its recently launched ICC Academy.

“We are certain that Kim Kit’s vast corporate and banking experience as well as her in-depth knowledge gained from working with Singapore’s regulatory institution and international arbitration institutions will serve us well in our work with our clients,” said Tan Chong Huat, RHTLaw Taylor Wessing’s managing partner, in a statement.

Ow has also worked as an in-house counsel with Scotiabank and Credit Suisse.
