Singapore Big Four law firm WongPartnership has marked its 25th anniversary by officially launching a regional law network that comprises of its alliance firms in the UAE, Malaysia, Indonesia and the Phillippines.

This makes it the second among the city-state’s Big Four firms to establish a legal network, after Rajah & Tann launched its Rajah & Tann Asia network in 2014. Allen & Gledhill has offices, as well as associations, outside Singapore, but does not have an official network.

Apart from WongP, the WPG legal network comprises of Al Aidarous International Legal Practice in the UAE, Foong & Partners  in Malaysia, Makes & Partners in Indonesia and Zambrano Gruba Caganda & Advincula  in the Philippines.

WongP formed an alliance with Zambrano in July. It tied up with Al Aidarous in April last year, and with Makes in 2014.

The Rajah & Tann network now has lawyers in nine ASEAN countries (with Brunei the exception), as well as China, while RHTLaw Taylor Wessing’s ASEAN Plus group has member firms in ten countries.

Meanwhile, the ZICO law network and the ASEAN Legal Alliance have member firms in all ten ASEAN jurisdictions.
