Watson Farley & Williams has promoted senior associate Andrew Nimmo to be the 10th partner of its Singapore office. 

Nimmo spent several years working in the Watson, Farley & Williams offices in London and Piraeus before relocating to the Singapore office where he is still based. Working within the international finance group, Nimmo specialises in asset and project finance with a particular emphasis on the offshore oil & gas and shipping sectors.

In additio to Nimmo’s appointment, WFW has also appointed 5 other new partners by promotion. Simon Petch in the finance group in London; Romain Girtanner in the Paris tax practice; Verena Scheibe in the tax partnership in Hamburg; Luca Pardi and Philippe Manteau in the corporate group based in the firm's Rome and New York offices respectively have similarly been recognised.

The appointments take effect from 1 May 2011 and bring the total number of partners in the firm to 110.

The firm currently has 298 lawyers and over 500 staff, with over 60% of fee-earners now based outside of the UK.ALB
