Specialist Sydney firm Ryan Lawyers has opened an office in Singapore.

The firm, which services the real estate, hotels, tourism and construction industries, was launched in 2004 by Tony Ryan.

The firm has recruited Tien Gui Koh as the practice director and senior legal counsel in the Singapore office. Tien Gui brings more than 18 years of corporate and commercial experience in cross border transactions, hotel mixed use development, fractional ownership and international arbitration. Prior to joining Ryan Lawyers, Tien Gui worked in house as senior counsel and company secretary for international hotel corporations including Jumeirah and Marriott.

Former Baker & McKenzie partner Robert Williams, who joined the firm on June 4 this year, will also spend time in Singapore from now on, although his permanent base is still the Sydney office. “These appointments and our Singapore presence demonstrate Ryan Lawyers’ commitment to our clients by providing a greater depth of capability in the Asia Pacific region and servicing the real estate, hotels and tourism sectors,” said Ryan.
