A team of 13 lawyers and two support staff will make the switch from Herbert Geer to Colin Biggers & Paisley in Brisbane.

The team in question is Herbert Geer’s former planning, government, infrastructure and environment group and the move will be effective 2 December. The team will be joining what is in effect Brisbane’s newest firm, with CBP having recently completed a merger with local firm Hemming + Hart last month.

Senior lawyers making this move include partners Ian Wright, Samantha Hall and Ben Caldwell, along with senior associate Ronald Yuen. Ian Wright will lead the CBP planning and environment team nationally.

"This is an exciting development for our new Brisbane office and we are delighted that this outstanding team has decided to join our firm," said managing partner Dunstan de Souza. "They are leading experts in what they do and have an excellent reputation in the Brisbane market. This new expansion also highlights our commitment to and confidence in Queensland.
