Former DibbsBarker partner Alicia Hill has joined Queensland firm McInnes Wilson Lawyers as principal of the insolvency and commercial litigation division.

Hill brings with her experience in company, contract, trade practices, insolvency, regulatory and property law disputes. She has also acted for joint venture parties and assisted a franchisor overcome alleged trade practices act contraventions brought by the ACCC.

At the same time, prominent Brisbane barrister Stephen Keliher has joined the firm as special counsel to the planning and environment team.  Keliher has acted as prosecution and defence counsel in numerous planning and environment court appeals and applications. Keliher, who has practiced at the Queensland bar since 2000 following degrees in biology and environmental science as well as a career in research, has also acted in valuation disputes for compulsory acquisitions and advised on the prospect for disputes.
