Almost a year after it was created, ASEAN legal network ZICOlaw has expanded into Cambodia with the addition of law firm Sok Siphana & Associates.

Sok Siphana & Associates is named after its founder Sok Siphana, an adviser to both the Cambodian government and the country’s Supreme National Economic Council. He established the firm in 1995, before leaving the profession to become Secretary of State for the Cambodian Ministry of Commerce. He re-established the firm in 2009.

Speaking to the Phnom Penh Post about his firm joining ZICOlaw, Sok Siphana said: “We regard it as of paramount importance that we continue to improve and seek out the skills and knowledge base of the firm, and this requires significant investment on our part.”

Aside from legal services, ZICOlaw offers legal, trust, strategic consulting, and corporate and secretarial expertise, with a niche practice in shariah advisory. The network has its head office in Kuala Lumpur, with a regional hub in Singapore. Apart from Cambodia, its member law firms and related service providers are located in Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, and Australia.
