International law firm DLA Piper is bolstering its technology, media and telecommunications practice in the region with the hire of Eamon Holley from Bahrain’s Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA).
Holley, who joins the firm as senior legal consultant, previously served as (the) legal director of the TRA for five years. Holley’s appointment comes as telecom operators around the region look to understand the evolving regulatory landscape.
"In the past, telecom operators and suppliers in the region have sought regulatory advice from outside the Middle East, largely due to a lack of on-the-ground expertise; however, Eamon's appointment changes the landscape entirely. Clients can now access high-level, regulatory expertise from right here in the region," said Paul Allen, head of intellectual property and technology for DLA Piper Middle East.
