The feud between partners Mark Pistilli, Diana Chang and Danny Simmons and law firm Atanaskovic Hartnell has ended with a fizzle after a Magistrate dismissed the partners’ claim for A$30,000 in fees in the Downing Centre Local Court.

The partners argued that they were entitled to the sum of A$30,000 as it represented their share of fees earned by the firm prior to their departure. They claimed that details of the relevant work-in-progress had not been entered into the system until after they left the firm.

The partners broke away from Atanaskovic Hartnell and founded Chang, Pistilli & Simmons in 2006. Their departure prompted a series of disputes, including an action in the Supreme Court regarding a separate horse-breeding partnership.
