Thailand’s Chavalit Law Group has rebranded itself as SCL Law Group, and also opened an office in Cambodia.
“With the implementation of the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC), our rebranding further enhances our presence in this region,” said Chavalit Uttasart, managing partner of SCL, in a statement.
Apart from the new office in Cambodia, SCL currently has offices in Bangkok and Hua Hin in Thailand, Laos and Myanmar.
Japanese Big Four firm Nishimura & Asahi has continued its aggressive international expansion with the opening of an office in Hong Kong. The office will make it the first major Japanese law firm to directly open an outpost in the Asian financial centre.
