They are currently in search for a Construction Associate to form part of their internationally renowned Construction Law Team under the guidance of the leading Construction Lawyer in the Asia Pacific Region.

Construction / Arbitration Associate 3-6 PQE

Responsibilities:

  • Advise, draft and negotiate Standard Form Construction Contracts;
  • Advise on payment provisions, delay claims, compensation events, defects liability, interim – and final payment certificates etc.
  • Represent the Principal Agent, Employer, Consultants, Contractor, Sub-contractor and Suppliers in Construction Disputes;
  • Resolution of disputes by way of Litigation, Arbitration, Mediation and Adjudication;
  • Draft legal process, e.g. Statement of Case, Defence, Counter-claims, Founding Affidavits, Answering Affidavits, Replying Affidavits, and Supplementary Affidavits etc.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3-6 PQE;
  • Hong Kong, PRC, UK or Australian Qualified Solicitors;
  • Experienced in International Arbitrations, Mediations and Adjudications;
  • Good working knowledge of Standard Form Construction Contracts, e.g. NEC, FIDIC, JCT, JCC etc.
  • Ability to build relationships;
  • Team player;
  • Ability to work effectively with partners and juniors in a team;
  • Excellent English and Mandarin (spoken, written, drafting skills).
