U.S. law firm Dorsey & Whitney has hired capital markets specialist David Cameron as a partner in its corporate group in Hong Kong from Allen & Overy, where he was a registered foreign lawyer.

Cameron’s practice focuses on international capital markets work. He specializes in representing and advising corporate and investment banking clients on debt and equity offerings pursuant to Rule 144A and Regulation S under the U.S. Securities Act of 1933, including high-yield, investment grade, private placements, block trades and medium-term note programmes.

Cameron’s recent works include advising on the State Bank of India’s Section 4(a)(2) equity offering of $2.3 billion, the largest-ever Qualified Institutions Placement out of India to date and JSW Steel’s $500 million high-yield bond offering.

Prior to his stint at Allen & Overy, which he joined in March 2016, Cameron worked as an associate with Linklaters for a period of more than seven years.

Cameron’s arrival takes the number of full-time partners at Dorsey’s Hong Kong office to four. The office is led by corporate partner Simon Chan.
