Davis Polk & Wardwell has appointed mergers and acquisitions expert Ken Lebrun as a partner in its Tokyo office from Shearman & Sterling.

Lebrun’s practice focuses on public and private cross-border mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, strategic alliances and private equity transactions. He has represented Japanese companies and financial institutions.

A registered foreign lawyer in Japan, Lebrun is admitted in New York. He serves as Chair of the Foreign Direct Investment Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce in Japan.

Lebrun earlier worked as an associate with Morgan, Lewis & Bockius after which he joined White & Case.
