Lau, Horton & Wise, CMS’ associate firm in Hong Kong has hired a three-member intellectual property team from Stephenson Harwood in Hong Kong led by partner Jonathan Chu.

The firm has also relocated life sciences and healthcare partner Sarah Hanson from its London office to Singapore. She will be the 10th partner in CMS’ Singapore office.

Joining Chu in Hong Kong are associates Mengyi Chen and Candy Tong.

Chu advises on IP transactions, prosecution of IP rights and IP litigation and enforcement strategies in Hong Kong and China. His clients span companies in the life sciences, fashion, toys and games, consumer goods, hospitality, TMT, entertainment, aviation, and energy sectors.

His arrival take the number of CMS partners in Hong Kong to nine. The office is co-headed by Nicholas Wiegand and Nick Beckett.
