Squire Patton Boggs has hired commodities lawyers Ivan Chia and Hazel Brewers as partners from HFW in Singapore and Brisbane, respectively.

Chia joined HFW in January 2018 from Watson, Farley & Williams, where he spent about a decade. Focusing on international energy, renewables and infrastructure projects, Chia advises on development, procurement, joint venture and M&A matters.

The news of Chia’s hire in Singapore comes around the time Squire Patton Boggs lost three more lawyers to McDermott Will & Emery’s newly opened office in Singapore.
