Dentons has announced a combination with the Philippines’ PJS Law, expanding its presence in the Southeast Asian region to six countries.

The combination with PJS marks the first such move in the region since it integrated with Vietnamese law firm LuatViet in 2021. Dentons also has a presence in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Myanmar, and in April 2021, Gerald Singham, Dentons’ global vice-chair and ASEAN CEO, said there was a plan to combine with a law firm in Thailand. Outside the ASEAN, Dentons also has combinations in India (with Link Legal, announced last year), China, and Korea.

Established in 1997 by Dave Puyat, Regina Jacinto-Barrientos and Roy Santos, PJS Law is a full-service firm with a focus on energy and infrastructure, projects, corporate, M&A, banking and finance, capital markets and disputes.

Following the merger, Dentons will have a presence in 215 locations in 84 countries.
