Khaitan & Co, the second largest law firm in India by headcount, saw a revenue increase of about 20-25 percent in the 2018-19 financial year, according to a report in local website Legally India (LI)

LI noted that the amount is estimated to be around 610-620 crores ($87 million to $89 million). Given that as of April 11, 2018, Khaitan’s total partnership strength was 127, including 91 equity partners, average revenues per partner would be around $685,000, and average revenues per equity partner would be around  $970,000, with average revenues per fee-earner around $160,000, LI noted.

The website further added that for a long time, Indian law firm revenue figures have been closely guarded trade secrets, though several firms are now quite transparent internally within the partnership about their financials.
