Ritika Ganju (L), a former corporate partner at India’s Phoenix Legal, has set up a firm called Rise Legal in New Delhi along with co-founders Tejas Patel, Aquib Ali and Meera Kaura.
Ganju and Patel will lead the corporate practice, while Ali and Kaura will head disputes. The firm plans to ink associations with firms in major Indian cities.
As corporate specialist, Ganju focuses on regulatory and compliance, M&A, investment, restructuring, joint ventures and employment-related matters in the pharmaceutical and healthcare and automotive sectors. She joined Phoenix in 2010, and had been a partner since 2017.
Patel advises on M&A, joint ventures, private equity transactions and due diligence. He most recently ran his independent practice for nearly four years.
Ali is experienced in civil, commercial and corporate litigation, arbitration and mediation and has represented clients before various courts and judicial forums including the Supreme Court of India. He worked for more than a decade at TKG Law Associates.
A criminal law practitioner, Kaura is versed in white-collar crimes, fraud and anti-bribery investigations and related matters. She has roughly 14 years of experience in total across a variety of law firms.
