Betty Yap, managing partner of Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison’s China practice, will be leaving the firm, according to reports.
Bloomberg reported that Yap was exiting the firm to pursue other career opportunities. She became the leader of its China practice in 2019, succeeding Jeanette Chan, who moved to an in-house role.
Yap, who advises on M&A and foreign direct investment transactions, was hired by Paul, Weiss in 2016 from Linklaters, where she headed that firm’s China practice. Yap joined Linklaters in 2004.
