Chengdu-based Tahota Law Firm has established a new office in Vientiane, Laos, its sixth outside Mainland China and 28th in all.
The opening comes some months after Beijing-headquartered DeHeng Law Offices launched its Vientiane office.
According to a statement, Tahota’s Vientiane office boasts more than 15 years of experience providing foreign-related legal services, including eight years in the Lao legal market. The new office will cover corporate work, cross-border financing, and dispute resolution related to industry sectors like railways, highways, steel, paper, tobacco, hydropower, mining, aviation, real estate, international engineering, economic zones and urban infrastructure construction.
Tahota stated in a press release that the establishment of the new office holds practical significance for the firm in realizing its international layout, with offices in major global economies and countries along the One Belt, One Road. This marks a more solid step towards building an overseas service network for Tahota in South and Southeast Asia.
Founded in 2000, Tahota also has overseas offices in Hong Kong, Washington DC, Sydney, Kathmandu, and Bangkok.
