Asian Legal Business is pleased to announce the release of the ALB Legal Guide to the Greater Bay Area, 2024 edition. The Guide will be available in both Chinese and English and will have one-year shelf life.

The Greater Bay Area marks its fourth anniversary since the launch of a comprehensive development plan for the region. Following three years of COVID-19 restrictions, the full reopening of borders between mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macau has been declared. The region is hailed as a model for high-quality development, contributing over 11 percent of mainland China and two special administrative regions' combined GDP. Key infrastructure connections and various development policy packages have enabled the region's sustainable growth, creating a virtuous cycle of increasing connectivity for capital, talents, technology, production, logistics, marketing, and consumers.

The region comprises three jurisdictions, three tax zones, and three currencies, with two flourishing capital markets of A shares and H shares, and vibrant capital flow. Companies intending to succeed in this area need to learn to navigate complex issues and utilise available resources efficiently.

The ALB Legal Guide offers practical insights into the application of laws across multiple jurisdictions and areas, providing the latest information and know-how from practitioners well-versed in local market laws. It includes discussions on relevant topics such as capital markets, dispute resolution, intellectual property, cross-border wealth management, data compliance, and more.

We cordially invite more contributors and supporting organisations to join hands with us in the publication of this handbook.

The guide will reach over 50,000 legal professionals in the Asia Pacific.  Free copies will be distributed to in-house counsels, chartered secretaries in Hong Kong, China, and Singapore, business associations and chambers, international associations of CFOs and corporate treasurers, and more!
