Singapore Big Four firm Rajah & Tann has welcomed corporate specialist Raymond Tong as a partner from Clifford Chance, where he spent more than 10 years.

Clifford Chance has advised Mitsubishi Corp on its acquisition of a 20 percent stake in Olam International for approximately $1.1 billion, with WongPartnership advising the issuer.

Clifford Chance has advised The Ascott Ltd, the serviced residence business unit of Singapore's CapitaLand, on its joint venture with Qatar Investment Authority to set up a $600 million serviced residence fund with an initial focus on Asia Pacific and Europe.

Rajah & Tann has advised Indonesian protein-food producer Japfa on its $159 million listing on the Singapore stock exchange on Aug. 15, while Clifford Chance acted for joint global coordinators Credit Suisse (Singapore), DBS and Rabobank International.
