Offshore law firm Appleby has welcomed back offshore funds lawyer Eason Huang from rival Carey Olsen. Huang joins as a partner in Shanghai and a registered foreign lawyer in Hong Kong.

He becomes Appleby’s second lateral partner hire this year. Back in February, the firm recruited veteran restructuring expert Lorinda Peasland as a partner in Hong Kong from rival Harneys.

Specialising in offshore investment funds, Huang advises sponsors and institutional investors on fund formation, including crypto-related funds, investments and management. Before moving to Carey Olsen as a counsel, he worked at Appleby from 2017 to 2020.
