The newly merged Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner (BCLP) has made a key hospitality partner hire in Singapore, snapping up partner Koh Tien Gui from Rajah & Tann.

Koh is expected to join BCLP’s Asia Real Estate and Hospitality & Leisure Practice in July. Prior to joining Rajah & Tann, he held high-profile in-house roles in the hospitality sector, including with Jumeirah Group and Marriott International.

With over a decade of experience, Koh specialises in M&As and JVs mainly involving the hotel sector. He also advises on hotel management agreements, branded residences, vacation clubs and timeshare products as well as overseeing hotel-related disputes.

Koh’s hire is BCLP’s latest to its real estate practice in Asia. In the last 12 months, the legacy Berwin Leighton Paisner added two partners from Mayer Brown JSM in Hong Kong: Mark Stevens and Andrew MacGeoch. The latter joined as the head of the legacy BLP’s Asia Real Estate and Infrastructure Practice and global head of the Hospitality & Leisure Group.

BCLP was created following the merger of BLP and Bryan Cave on April 1. The combined firm has 1,600 lawyers across 32 offices in 11 countries.
