Magic Circle firm Clifford Chance has hired debt markets specialist Alan Yeung as a partner in its Hong Kong office from Shearman & Sterling.

Yeung has more than 20 years of experience in the Asia-Pacific. He has expertise in advising issuers and underwriters on debt and equity offerings of securities into the U.S., high-yield and investment-grade debt offerings, Rule 144A/Regulation S placements and liability management transactions.

He is Clifford Chance’s first partner-level hire in Hong Kong since the firm added Soo Khim Keoy and Jonathan Wong in July.
