Dechert has hired litigator Maria Sit as a partner in Hong Kong from Davis Polk & Wardwell, where she was a counsel.

Sit focuses on regulatory investigations and enforcement, as well as civil litigation and arbitration.

Earlier in her career, Sit was a solicitor with Reed Smith, after which she joined Herbert Smith Freehills. She then served as an in-house counsel at Hong Kong’s Securities and Futures Commission.

Dechert’s global litigation practice, which has seen 17 partners join since January last year, now has 350 lawyers across 21 offices.
