Indian law firm Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas has hired Swati Sharma as the head of its intellectual property practice from Anand and Anand, one of the country’s leading IP outfits. Based in Delhi, she joins with a team of lawyers.

Sharma, who was a partner at Anand and Anand for 16 years, advises Fortune 100 clients on IP-related M&A, commercial transactions, strategy, disputes and prosecution, including handling of trademarks, patents, copyrights, designs, trade secrets and technology. She was most recently involved in the Air India re-branding project and has been responsible for declarations before the Trademarks Office for marks such as TCS, the Tata T Logo and Flipkart.

With her arrival, CAM now has 38 partners in Delhi. They include technology specialist Gauhar Mirza, who joined from Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co. in June.
