Indian law firm Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas (CAM) has hired Bharat Vasani as a corporate partner in Mumbai from Tata Group, where he held multiple in-house roles over the past 17 years.

Vasani was most recently legal advisor to the chairman of Tata Group. Prior to that, he was Chief Legal & Group General Counsel of Tata Sons, the holding company of Tata Group. 

With over 30 years of experience, Vasani has worked on key M&A transactions carried out by the Tata Group. He specialises in corporate and commercial laws, securities law, capital market transactions, M&A transactions, JVs, competition law, employment law and property matters.

Earlier this month, CAM, India’s largest firm, created a Corporate Governance Centre in New Delhi, led by former civil servant and Securities and Exchange Board of India chairman UK Sinha.
