newsHong Kong’s LC Lawyers, a member of the EY global network, has hired corporate finance expert Li Fai as a partner from PRC firm Jingtian & Gongcheng.

Li has extensive experience in IPOs, enterprise restructuring, private equity finance, and corporate compliance. He has advised various mainland Chinese companies on their Hong Kong IPOs and also guided Hong-Kong listed companies on their restructuring and M&A projects, spanning industries like manufacturing, retailing, food, media, medicine, and energy.

A former Mayer Brown associate, Li moved to L&C Legal, a Hong Kong local firm established by two former partners of the U.S. firm in 2018 after Jingtian ended its alliance with Mayer Brown. When L&C and Jingtian merged in 2019, Li became a partner of the PRC firm.

With Li’s hire, LC Lawyers – which was established in 2015 – now has three partners in Hong Kong. In July last year, it saw the departures of two key capital markets partners to Mayer Brown.
