Offshore law firm Harneys has named litigator James Noble as the new managing partner of its Singapore office. Noble will take over from Lisa Pearce, who is retiring.
With nearly two decades of experience, Noble has worked on disputes involving financial services litigation, trust and estate matters, and insolvency and restructuring. He also has expertise in shareholder litigation, asset recovery, and cross border enforcement and insolvency.
Noble joined Harneys in 2010 as an associate in the Cayman Islands. He relocated to the Hong Kong office in 2012, before moving last year to Singapore as head of that office’s newly established Litigation and Restructuring practice.
The past few months have seen Harneys gradually expand in Asia, with a particular focus in Hong Kong, where it hired three new partners: Nicola Roberts, Julie Engwirda and Andrew Johnstone.
