Prolegis, Herbert Smith Freehills’ Singapore Formal Law Alliance firm, has hired energy and infrastructure expert Adrian Wong as director and head of projects from CMS, where he was a partner.
Wong’s hire follows Herbert Smith Freehills' Singapore additions this year of project finance partner Rupert Baker, who returned to the firm after more than two years at SoftBank Group in Tokyo, and capital markets partner Xavier Amadei, who joined from Baker McKenzie Wong & Leow.
Wong is experienced in energy, infrastructure and data centre project development issues, including acquisitions and disposals. He advises equity sponsors, government authorities, lenders, engineering, procurement and construction contractors, feedstock and utilities suppliers, potential off-takers, and operation and maintenance service providers.
Having started his career in 2004 at WongPartnership, Wong then worked for law firms Allen & Gledhill, Clifford Chance, and Hogan Lovells, and in an in-house role at Engie Energy International. He joined CMS in 2014.
