Eversheds has boosted its Hong Kong operations with the addition of Jae Lemin as a partner in the banking and finance team and Paul Moloney as Of Counsel in the financial services and funds team.

Lemin, who previously worked with Herbert Smith Freehills, specialises in acquisition financing, trade financing and corporate loans, having held positions with several corporates and commercial banks in Asia Pacific, South America and Africa. He also has considerable experience in renewable energy, having been involved a $320 million financing of a 150 MW wind power plant in the Philippines.

Formerly a counsel at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld, Moloney’s practice focuses on funds, financial services and asset management as well as corporate, M&A and structured finance tax.

In addition, he set up the Hong Kong practice of Dillon Eustace during his stint with the law firm.

CMS Holborn Asia, the Singapore alliance firm of CMS, has added Ying Yi Liew as a director and head of its financial services regulatory practice from Baker McKenzie Wong & Leow, where she was a principal.
