Hogan Lovells has hired project finance partner Joseph Kim from Paul Hastings in Tokyo.

Kim, who will join Hogan Lovells’ infrastructure, energy, resources and projects team in Tokyo, is expected to boost the firm’s Japan and Korea outbound investment and financing practices.

Kim advises on power projects, upstream and midstream natural resource projects, liquid natural gas (LNG) and renewable energy projects.

Hogan Lovells now has six partners at its Tokyo office.

The firm also hired M&A partner Steven Tran from Kirkland & Ellis in Hong Kong earlier this month.

Global law firm Morrison Foerster has announced that private equity veteran Scott Jalowayski will rejoin the firm as a partner in Singapore. Jalowayski most recently co-chaired the global private equity group at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher.
